One mentor is not going to cover what executive leadership roles ask of you.
But, a small circle of the right people will.
For years, I believed the best thing I could do for my career was to find one great mentor who looked like the future version of me. One person who could show me the ropes and guide me toward my goals because they were several steps ahead of me.
That worked up to a point, and then it all stopped.
If you are in a senior finance role, you have probably felt that same shift. The job keeps expanding faster than the training you were given for it.
At that point, having one mentor is no longer enough.
You need a small circle of people who help you think across functions, politics, and decisions.
This playbook is how I built that circle, and what I have learned along the way that might help you build yours.

This Personal Board of Directors Playbook covers:
Why senior roles outgrow the “one mentor” model
What a strong advisory circle actually looks like
Practical ways to build your own personal BOD
